Engineering meeting

 Items:

•  In 2011, we may swap a Zephyr day (May 19) to later and use Shana Rae on the 19th.
• Much discussion about the ship schedule in 2011.

Teledyne may become more involved in the engineering process with G3.  We will get an NDA and MOU in  place and possible host them at a mid/late Jan/Feb meeting.  Chris going to visit them and see if they are interested in participating.

G3

•  A system level diagram showing concepts needed.
• We should start from G2; e.g., 40 samples over 3 weeks would be a good minimum
• what about looking at sampling workshop output for sampling requirements?  Chris S. will look to John R. to get this together.  See what potential users want to do.

MARS

 We may move the recovery day from Jan 31to later in that week.

Adaptive SamplingWe will run the algorithm on shore and then push the 'decision' to the instrument.  Brent to work on it this deployment.

Maybe use temperature as signal ;  3 runs when temp drops, 3 when temp rises, 3 when mid temp.  Should stay simple if code is not ready

We need to retain 8 samples in reserve for this.  Terminate mission the end of the first week of Jan.
Must push a patch down to DWSM as we think a compliance  bag is broken.

Super-Clamp is on only Gordon right now.  We have coaxial alignment pieces, but still need springs.  Doug to order.
